My clients Richards Design & Build have just launched their new website, designed to showcase the Design part of their service, and offer their ‘concept to keys’ service to clients in a more direct and obvious way.
This project began with a series of meetings, discussing the style and content of the site, and to whom we were aiming it, before I began writing anything, and has been on ongoing project since March 2024. The website went live in July 2024, and there are still new projects being added, and new ‘Knowledge Hub’ articles going up – which will continue for some time.
The site, at wearerichards.co.uk, was designed by Luke at Concierge, and is full of gorgeous pictures of completed builds, plus ‘work in progress’ shots and details of finishes, to showcase what Richards can do.
My role was to bring together the images and the knowledge, to encourage clients to trust Richards with their dream home build, refurb or extension.
Part of that has involved learning more about the building industry than I knew I needed to know, in order to write Knowledge Hub pieces describing different elements of their work. We knew that some experienced or professional developers would be visiting the site, but the majority would be people without much experience in this area. Thus the Knowledge Hub explains everything from how to begin a project to build your dream home, to how to choose doors and doorhandles. It covers Designated Areas (such as AONBs and protected trees) that might make your planning application process more exciting, and also debunks a series of myths around why a Design and Build company might not be a good choice.
All of this work has involved extensive collaboration with the Richards team, whom I’m happy to recommend to anyone who wants a design and build project undertaking – having seen how thoroughly they work and what nice people they are!
