With over a decade of experience in local government, plus many years subsequently as a contractor, I know how local government works, and I ‘speak the lingo’. I can step in as an extra pair of hands, or a one-step-removed consultant, to support rebrands, web content overhauls, report and proposal production and much more.
I also offer OFSTED website compliance package for schools and educational establishments. I will help you ensure that all the information and documents that OFSTED needs are easy to find and up to date. My report includes URL locations, dates of documents (e.g. finance, policies) and notes. If I can’t find it easily, OFSTED won’t be able to either.
The HD Words offer
Any local government or education establishment copywriting or other consultancy work is charged on a case-by-case basis, including
- Web content overhaul/rewrite
- Communications support for projects or launches
- Proofreading or editing for reports, etc
OFSTED compliance checking for websites – schools, academies and colleges, primary, secondary or tertiary. £225 for initial check, £65 for annual re-check (provided no major web overhaul has taken place).
Case Studies
Cornwall Council’s Department of Adult Social Care brought me in to overhaul their public-facing website prior to a CQC inspection. This involved creating new topical signposting pages, writing new content, and editing some existing pages.
The head of marketing at Truro and Penwith College asked me to carry out my OFSTED Compliance Check on their website, as they were expecting inspectors imminently. My report helped them iron out a few creases, and fill in some key blanks before the visit took place.
